The Software Developer position is ideal for candidates with 3 - 5 years of proven software development experience. Working with our exceptional development team, you will have a significant level of responsibility within our company and will be expected to influence the development direction. Report to - Executive Director of Information Technology - Works with Technical Architect and Technical Team Lead reporting jointly to the Project Manager Responsibilities - Develop procedures to solve complex technical problems - Develop functional documentation based on user requirements - Design, build, test, release and maintain websites - Assist Project Manager, Technical Lead and Technical Architect to provide detailed work estimates  - Work with Project Manager to ensure timely deliver - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate Developers Qualifications - Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering  - Minimum 3 years’ software development experience with PHP and Object-oriented programming - Minimum 1 year development experience with Drupal module programming - Experienced in MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redis database programming and optimizations - Experienced in Web Services, SOAP - Experienced in cache system - Working knowledge of LAMP or LNMP - Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), Ajax, Git  - Working knowledge of Symfony/Doctrine/Drupal/Joomla - Working knowledge of MVC and ORM design pattern - Good written and verbal communication skills - Problem solving and process driven Desired Skills - Solid knowledge and experience of object-oriented concepts and design patterns - Solid knowledge and experience of NodeJS, Python and Perl - Proficient knowledge of the Drupal Platform: - Drupal core functionality and best practices - Drupal Basics, including but not limited to; Model based architecture, module structure, configuration, extensions and overrides, URL rewrites, Design and layout initialization - Drupal Rendering - Working with the ORM Database - Experience extending and creating customized modules of Drupal as required
